Continuing on the tangential path of exploring loop-based composition, 'Ranges Glimpsed' is the third section of the passage, offering an atmosphere of overcast psychedelia in the form of an ever-shifting loop that changes only timbrally, while remaining the same throughout in every other sense. Like 'Grass to Heel', it is less than apparent where the seams are in the loop itself, but there remains a distinct sense of immobility - a landscape of weather experienced from the perspective of a plinth that stands atop a green hill.
