These machines are not our new masters
They are not even the new arbiters of taste
They are mindless collations of selfish men's desires
The remains in a filthy sifter used to pan for riches
At the edge of this river that belongs to us
The fruits they bear on their plywood tree
They sag at their seams
Spoiling not by sunlight or air, but simply by existing
Indeed, all we must do to refute them is breathe
And if you will follow me one step further
We can make anything, think any thought
No matter how facile or fantastic it may be
And it will deface these machines
Revealing their bones as nothing more than our own stolen imaginations
Siphoned from our sleeping heads
Bypassing our permission, assuming our acceptance
Held hostage in front of us by these vitreous systems
Just darkened enough that we have only now realized
They wear our faces beneath their glassed surfaces
Even this realization, they will attempt to subsume
So let us poison our words, corrupt this line of communication
So that they know only that they have failed in their charge
When they reach for the next infernal brick to build their fortress
And it pulls their withering construct down into the current
Obliterated and forgotten in the river
